Pre-Approved CEUs

 

The Medical Association of Billers grants prior approval for the continuing education units (CEUs) required to maintain your certification.  CEUs must be earned during the 12 months from the date of certification.  CEUs are not awarded prior to certification.

For example if you take a PowerWeekend June 15-16, 2007 and pass your certification examination on June 16 any CEUs obtained from June 17, 2007 through June 16, 2008 count towards your required annual CEUs.  

Starting January 1, 2008, all classes must have prior approval to be granted full CEUs.  You may request credit for non-approved CEUs by sending the class curriculum and grade to MAB.  MAB offers no guarantee for classes which are not pre-approved.

CMS Web-based Training Courses Any classes listed on the MedLearn site are approved for the CEUs listed on their page.  
Teaching MAB pre-approved coding, billing, or compliance classes. Submit learning objectives and curriculum of your in-service training.
