Be aware of scams, such as Healthcare Partners of Yorba Linda, CA . They sell you software and marketing packages, saying they'll get contracts for you with Physicians, but they take your money and run. You're better off securing your own contacts, using your experience and developing a reputation for honesty with Physicians in your community

Place of Service for DME

I bill for an orthopedic surgeon and recently have received denials for coding place of service 12 (home) for DME supplies (fx walker, shoulder pulleys ect). Medicare/Cigna requires POS 12 as this is where the DME is going to be used. Does anyone know where I can locate Place of Service Guidelines? It's not in the ICD-9 and CPT books that I can find.
