What is it? |
The Medical Association of Billers CMBS Program is a challenging series of interesting and practical courses. It is aimed at individuals employed in a provider's office, health insurance company, or an independent billing center.
A candidate for certification is an individual who is motivated to improve their medical billing knowledge and develop new skills to assist providers in maximizing their reimbursement through proper coding and documentation.
To achieve certification, an individual must successfully complete a series of six courses and provide the Medical Association of Billers with Supervisor, Provider or Instructor evaluation of billing performance.

How do I stay certified? |
To maintain your certification, graduates must complete 12 CEUs per calendar year. This may be accomplished by successfully completing two on-line programs, one PowerWeekend, an intermediate level PowerWeekend, or attending our National Conference. Students must be a member of the Medical Association of Billers to be certified.

Credit for Prior Experience - Individual On-line classes:
introductory on-line classes if you feel you already possess the skills necessary to pass any individual on-line final exam. You may test out of any class and obtain program credit by taking and passing the final exam. - Comprehensive CMBS Certification Exam:The cost for the comprehensive CMBS Final Exam is $199 for members (You must be a member to sit for the CMBS examination.)
